My prayers answered....I hope.

No more “Gunung Kinabalu” in the ironing room.

All clothes washed, dried, ironed, folded and/or hanged.

All floors swept and mopped everyday.

All surfaces cleaned and all the dusts wiped.

All windows washed and are sparkling now.

All dishes washed, dried and put away every night.

All kitchens and toilets gleaming.

All “sawangs” gone.

And check this out – even the plaster ceilings and cornices were wiped clean.

And the table is always set up nicely for every meal.

I can sigh with relief now.

YUP! After 6 months of chaos at the home front, we finally have a helper.

Her name is Daryati. She arrived a week ago. So far, so good.

If you were to look at her, you would get the impression that she’s lazy or slow. The ways she walks, the way she (doesn’t) talk, and the way she goes about doing things around the house. So, it’s amazing to see how she gets everything done so fast. And I don’t have to repeat myself 1001 times with her!

But, more importantly, the kids like her. And I can see that she’s quite attached to them, especially Hilman.

Her time management is good. Hey, she even has time to watch Nickelodeon and the Disney Channel with the kids, AND sit with them when they play with their PS2, mind you! And she normally goes to sleep at 10:30p.m and wakes up at 6:00a.m. Even Ayah and I get less sleep than her, okay?

The only thing she doesn’t do is cook. But, I can live with that, as long as she helps me with the preparation of the ingredients and clean up the kitchen after that.

The kids' toys and books are still all over the place unfortunately. Well, what do you expect? It’s the school holiday maah…

My mind is more at peace now. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

But, it’s still early days, and you all know how it is with helpers. So, I don’t want to “puji” lebih-lebih.

I just pray that she is what she portrays herself as now.

I just pray that she will stay until her contract ends (at least).

I just pray – for that is the only thing I could do now when it comes to “rezqi” with helpers…

Dad of 4+1,

Yes - BLISS! Rasa macam Queen of England pulak now ni. Such luxury...Hehehe!

I look forward to reading your posting about your maid. Insya Allah a good and positive report, eh?

MinahC,

Hehehe...I saman you nanti...

I takut dia kena cekup by 'bopren' Bangla aje nanti...Nauzubillah.

(Sebabnya - my next door neighbour's helper dah pasang sorang Mat Bangla, you!)

Dillazag,

Yes, our nasib with helpers ni pun depends on rezki masing-masing. Kalau rezki okay, insya Allah, dapatlah maid yang okay...If not, gigit jari le kita!

And yes, as long as tak ada bopren, and as long as kerja okay, I have no complaints.(After all, beggars can't be choosers...That bad, huh? Our dependency on them...)

------------------------------

Mior,

Yes, bersyukur sangat-sangat.

More time to blog AND blog-hop, insya Allah :)

More importantly, more time to finish my never-ending work!

Dear Simah,

Thank you for hopping by :)

It's okay, I understand - I'm sure things are still very hectic and unsettled for you and the family, especially for your children when you all have just lost someone so dear...My do'a that Allah SWT will give you all strength during this difficult time. Amin.

Yes - it's so nice not to have to do everything myself after such a long time. The only cleaning I do now is for the master bedroom and bathroom. The rest of the house I dah serahkan to Daryati :D I'm slowly teaching her to cook some simple dishes for the kids now.

Oh ya...Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha to you and your family, too.

Take care.

Mamamia,

I pun nak belajar dari my maid! Hehehe!

About taking care of our maid tu...ada musykil sikit laaa. Sometimes bagai nak rak we take care of them, tapi they all buat hal jugak! So how?!

At the end of the day, ikut nasib and rezki masing-masing, I suppose.

Take care.

Hanna dear,

Insya Allah...

If not, you'll get another round of "Cranky Mommy" when I have to do all the chores around the house again!
