Oh, puhleeez...

It's the time of the month and I'm so easily annoyed with things which I normally would not layan... So, please bear with me on this, okay?

I was waiting for my turn at the bank this morning, when this girl walked in. She looked quite "high and mighty", if I may add - wearing a black skirt and a white top, with her hair neatly tied in a bun. And my first thought was, "Hmmmm....she's probably a student from the Law Faculty, and she probably had just finished a mooting competition, or session, or training at the Law Faculty or something like that".

Yup, she looked THAT young, and quite inexperienced.

She sat beside me, and suddenly her phone rang, and this was what transpired -

"Hello? Yes...I'm at the bank now. You're still in court? I was there the whole of this morning. XYZ is till there. The hearing is still going on. I'm going back to court after this. Uh-um...Uh-um...Okay. I'll see you there later, okay? I should be back in court in about an hour or so, etc."

(Or something like that lah...)

And I think everybody sitting at the waiting area could hear every word she said.

Firstly - Hello?! You're in a bank, and you're not supposed to use your handphone, dear.

And secondly - you could surely lower down your voice when you answered the call, couldn't you? Or you could just answer your phone outside the bank? Unless of course you WANTED everybody to listen to your conversation?

(And I suddenly remembered what Phoebe said in one of the FRIENDS series when somebody asked her for a favour and she said, "Oooohhh, I wished I could, but I don't want to!" Hehehe!)

And I thought THAT was so applicable to Little Miss Legal-in-Black-n-White this morning.

Please don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to generalize here and put all legal freshies down, because I know for a fact that not all freshies in the legal fraternity are like that. But there ARE a few who act so like they're "Partners" already when they're in fact still chambering, maaa!! Why aaaaarr like that?

In fact, sometimes when I go to hospitals pun, some of the housemen act more terrer than their consultants!

Aiyyyoooo...Tak tahan...

Oh, puhleeez la, girl. Been there, done that laa... You were probably in court the whole morning doing a few mentions and some J-I-Ds here and there ajer pun...

And you were probably still in your diapers when I was called dulu.

Rasa macam nak bagi ajer kat lawyer hingus meleleh tu my call card tadi...But, then again, I'm not that cruel...

But, hmmmmm, in retrospect, maybe I should have, kan?

That should get it into her that there are so many out there yang dah makan asam garam longer than her. Tak payah lah nak aksi unnecessarily. Bukan boleh menang kes pun...

Hmmmmphhh... Okay, dah lepas tension. Hehehe! :)

Dear Shana

I have come across the same thing. No prejudice, but I still think that they were trying to let the whole world know that they were some big time lawyer and was in court, and doing what, God knows! I guess, maybe just follow a senior to familiarise!!! Hahaha.

Some guards at the bank will politely remind the customers not to take calls in the bank. I guess yang ini, kalau tegur pun mahu buat tak dengar je.

He..He..this is so funny..I mean, I've also met action people, memang geli geleman kan. And ada juga orang yg with very high positions but no airs whatsover...

When I was doing my crash English course kat KPP, my English lecturer (local) reminded us to please not speak English with Mat Salleh slang after we've come back from overseas.

I cannot tahan kalau orang cakap kuat2 on the handphone. Oi, kita pun ada handphone jugak lah... no need to show off!

She's probably just an observer in court that morning, nothing important... But she wants people to think that she is doing something important. That's my take on this.

Betul ke dia tu lawyer? Ataupun reporter?
Mungkin nak jadi news anchor kot, that's why dia cakap dengan terang dan jelas.... hahahaha...
Tapi you baik lah kak shana, if I was there, mesti I pura-pura buat 'ter'sepak heels dia with my bulky Crocs.

Aahhh... lega kan.???

About that 'Legally Black (nasib baik rambut dia tak blonde)', tak reti lah I nak komen.

Kesian kan orang-orang macam tu? I bet kalau masa *hingusan* lagi dah eksen macam tu, cannot imagine la how dia behave bila dah climb the ladder.

Ha.ha.ha.ha.... Shana, I pun pernah come across with this kind of people. Plzzzzzz... tak sanggup nak dengar.... as if the ´world owns by them´. Furthermore, kat public area pulak.. ish.ish...

It shows the level of ´mentality´.. itu aje... he.he.he..

Salam Naz,

Thank you for hopping by :)

Truth be told, I've been hopping by your blog every now and then, too, but, had never left any trail behind (Shy lah!). So, it was a very nice surprise indeed to see you here. I love your blog, too! ;)

Hehehe...Yup, I was kurang sabar at the bank, but after venting it all out in this posting, dah okay dah. Good therapy - this blogging thing, huh?

Hope to see you here again, and I'll definitely leave my trail on your blog from now - now that some major melting of the ice has been done :) Hehehe...

TM,

Ramai freshies out there yang act lebih veteran dari veteran! Tu yang tak tahan tu...

Hmmmm, you may be right. Either they were just following their seniors or masters to familiarize themselves with the system, OR tukang bawak briefcase kot? Hahaha!

I rasa, kalau Pak Guard kat bank tu tegur, sure that girl will say, "I'll see you in court!" HAHAHA! Wanna bet?

wanshana said...

Busybody,

You're so right - some with high positions pun tak der air like that, kan? These young 'uns surely have a lot to learn from people like that.

About cakap berabuk tu, I knew someone (Malaysian) once who cakap in a thick American accent (in Wales, okay?!), but grammar berterabur. I have nothing against those who have no fear and try to improve their English by speaking the language regardless, but, kalau dengan melayu kita pun nak over-over speaking ngalahkan George Bush, sorry laaa...

Ummi,

Memang! Lepas I posted this, baru I saw the funny side of it. Hehehe... If not, rasa berasap ajer kepala ni.

Yup, had a good day today. Thank you, dear. Hope yours was great, too :)

(And, oh ya! I need to arrange to meet up with you soon ;))

MrsNordin,

Ke dioghang ni hard of hearing, kot? So, they feel oghang lain pun tak berapa boleh dengar? Tu yang kena jerit-jerit over the phone. Possible? Isshhh... teghuknya kita! Hahahaha!

And I think you're right lah - she was probably just an observer in court. Tak per lah...asalkan dia bahagia :)

wanshana said...

DNAS!

Hahahaha! That's so funny!!! Maybe lah kot - nak practice jadi Karam Singh Walia?!

Hmmmm, next time kalau I terserempak dengan the girl and dia buat the same hal, I'll definitely do as you suggested. Sepak bagus punya :)

Mamamia,

Oh, memang sungguh lega dapat meluahkan rasa hati di sini...

Memang kekadang tu kita terkedu - sampai tak boleh nak komen kan? Hehehe!

wanshana said...

MA,

Memang kesian. They get all my sympathies (and more, in fact :))

I think, orang-orang macam ni, kalau tak sedar awal-awal, they'll never get to climb high on the ladder pun.

Hope she, and those sewaktu dengannya, will realize that the air they have will not bring them anywhere...

wanshana said...

Kmar,

Tu lah tu kan? Cannot tahan betul.

If not their level of mentality, it shows their "penyakit mental" sebenarnya, kot? Hahaha!

wanshana said...

Waterlily,

Biarkan si Legally Black and White terjun dengan labu, laba dan labinya...Hehehe!

Anyway, I normally would just ignore ajer bebenda macam ni, tapi, now hormones tengah haywire. Tu yang tangan rasa gatal nak post this entry :) I definitely don't need another migraine caused by that girl, kan? Sungguh tidak relevant dalam hidupku...

Kak Shana,

Ha ha....i know a lot of that species. U shuld hand her ur name card & tell her taht u'll be happy to help if she has any trouble drafting her affidavits .

U r right Kak, ramai chambie yg poyos like that around, wait till u kena ganyang by Arifin Jaka ke Wahab Patail or Sekaran tu, then only u can brag la about being an Ally McBeal...

Or Wait till u are blacklisted by half of d Land Office in Selangor sebab gaduh ngan A.D.O yg brengsek dulu baru boleh tunjuk belang (tu cakap pasal diri sendiri ha ha)

wanshana said...

Bella,

Tu lah tu... Anyway, kalau ya memang ada rumah and kereta besaq, it's not so bad lah jugak kalau diorang nak eksyen sometimes. Still boleh terima jugak. Yang tak tahannya orang yang tak seberapa ni yang cakap besaq! Tak tahaaaaannn!!! Lagi tak tahan kalau ada yang BUAT cerita and then cakap besaq!

Biaq pi diorang lah, Bella. Hehehe :)

wanshana said...

Desert Rose,

Hehehe! Kalau kena sembur 'ngan Arifin Jaka and Wahab Patail tu, mau "terkench" kot bebudak ni -terus jadi Ally McTerkebil. And mau yang decide not to practise after that?!

Tell me about Land Office punya songel... Ngalah tuan tanah! Hahaha!

I'm glad I don't have to deal with them (and the courts anymore) :)

All the best with your practice, Desert Rose :)
