The (not quite) sleepover :)

The long awaited day finally arrived!

We had been waiting for it for the last 2 years or so, and On*ir had been teased and chided by us as to why laaaa the construction of her house was taking soooo long to complete. The standing joke was that it was because she took so long to decide on the FONT to be used on the floor plans of the 2 1/2 storey bungalow, and THAT had stalled the building process and progress...Hehehe!

(No lah, On*ir...we know how tedious and nerve-racking it is to build a house from scratch...AND BRAVO to you and Sh*dy for a job well done! The house is REAAAALLLLY beautiful. So, now you guys can sit back and relax, and sigh a breath of relief :))

Anyway, On*ir, Mr. Engineer and their kids finally moved in into their spanking new place about a month ago, and last weekend, we were all invited to their housewarming do, and a few of us yang muka memang tak malu had invited ourselves for a sleepover, too :)

It was supposed to start with Tea at 5:00p.m on Saturday, followed by Dinner and Supper in the evening, and for those self-invited sleepers - Breakfast and Lunch on Sunday were also included in the package :)

Saturday, as usual, was a packed affair for us, and what with the kids' school replacement and all, we only managed to leave SD after Maghrib and only reached Sa*ja*a Im*ia* just after 9:00p.m. This time, we brought with us some Spaghetti Olio and Bubur Chacha to complement the spread prepared by the tuan rumah - Nasi Ayam and Mee Hoon Soup. Aw*n brought some Soto, and No* brought with her some Carrot Cake (yang very the sedap!) And, oh yes - Ibu brought with her some Tauhu Sumbat! :) (By the way, who brought the Nasi Lemak Daun Pisang and the cupcakes, ya?)

While the Mommies were catching up with the latest gossips, and the Daddies were busy watching some football matches over on ASTRO, the kids were busy "officiating" the spanking new swimming pool!

Later, the Mommies and Daddies lepas gian berkaraoke until about 2:30a.m. :)

The hosts were kind enough to give each family a room for the night, and after tucking the kids (and the hubbies) in bed, the Mommies went down for an all-night long chat which lasted until the Azan Suboh berkumandang from Ibu's phone! Hehehe...memang tak ingat dunia! After solat Suboh, baru lah rasa mengantuk giler.

Yours truly only managed to fall asleep just before 7:00a.m, only to be woken up by Hilman who wanted to ask permission if he could go for a swim in the pool again, at 10:00a.m :)

So, the kids had another round of splashing about in the pool until about 11:30a.m.

Sunday Breakfast menu was - Nasi Lemak with Sambal Udang, Sambal Sotong and Ayam Goreng Berempah, and also Nasi Ayam - served with Air Sirap, Teh Tarik and Nescafe Tarik.

First Class Service, or what, huh?! :)

Dengan berat hati, we left the house just after 1:00p.m, as Hanna had to go to her replacement guitar lesson at 2:30p.m. We reached home about 1:35p.m and Ayah and Hanna left again for One-U just after 2:00p.m.

I was struggling to keep awake the whole afternoon, but, by 4:30p.m I was already like a zombie. I think I zonked out just after Asar, and only woke up at 8:15p.m in the evening! Baik punya qadha' tidur!..

Even though my timing was a bit off, and this continued over until the next day - it was all worthed it :)

We all had a great time with friends and family during the Sleepover at On*ir and Mr Engineer's beautiful and cool new abode :)

(Errrr...but, me think - "Sleepover" is somewhat a misnomer for the Mommies, as we didn't really sleep that night. Hehehe! ;))

To the gracious hosts - Thank you so much for having us over the weekend, guys! We had a great time.

Planning to check in again this weekend. Can aaaarrr?! ;)

Oh ya...Lupa la pulok -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR. ENGINEER!!! :) Semoga dipanjangkan umur, dimurahkan rezqi, and may your life with On*ir and family be blessed always. Insya Allah. Amin.

Here are some pics. Enjoy! :)

Shana,

The story about the FONT tu I rasa is a true story...You knowlah On*ir...So detail and kemas...

Anyway, it was really great to have you guys at the house last weekend....We have been waiting for so long to get the house ready so that we can host all the MTs and kawan-kawan yang sewaktu dengannya....

When we started designing the house, the most important criteria was to make sure that it can accommodate all of the MTs, hubbies and children all at the same time....and seeing the kids having a blast of time at the pool made it all worth it...

I was quite amaze of the MT's ability to talk non-stop from the time of arrival sampai subuh....tu tak campur the croaking session....
apalah yang you all duk gossip tu??

And thank you for the birthday wishes....moga-moga Allah memberkati juga orang yang mendoakan kesejahteraan saya dan keluarga...

Hope to see you guys this weekend...

p/s oh ya...the nasi lemak daun pisang tu I beli kat restoran dekat rumah...sedapkan??

Shana,

What a nice house!!... Bertuah si Onair sekeluarga. I bet the kids mesti suka ´berkunjung´ to the house...he.he.. walaupun tak ´diundang´.

I suka swimming pool.. nampak ala-ala mini-Olympic laa. Mana tahu kot-kot ada antara your kids yang ada bakat terpendam nak jadi swimmer macam Phelps.

The food nampak sedapnya!!!

salam kak shana. i'm your ex-dormmate. b-1-13 kan? betul la kan?

Eta,

Memaaannnnggg! Bukan setakat anak-anak ajer takkan tolak. Mak, Bapak and Bibik-bibik pun tak ingat dunia...Hehehe!

Yang tudung hitam tu, "Liz" jugak sebenarnya - "Elizabeth Taylor" :)

wanshana said...

Dilla,

Jangan jeles...coz' kekadang our MT gathering ni tak bagus untuk kesihatan sebenarnya - teh tarik and nescafe tarik berteko-teko, lepas tu makan free cholesterol (bukan Choleterol-free, okay?!) macam tak ingat dunia, lepas tu tak tido satu malam!

The next day - dah jadi macam Zombie Kampung Pisang...

Tapi, tak per....coz' memang seronok :)

Desert Rose,

It's a 2 in 1 thingy - rumah DAN resort. Ahli MT ada Life Membership card lagi! Hehehe!

Nanti I suruh Mr Engineer and Kak On*ir check your blog - mana lah tau kot-kot memang kenal?! Boleh dapat Memebership card jugak :)

wanshana said...

Mr Engineer,

Yup! That's our On*ir alright :) Imagine - if not because of the FONT issue tu, dah lama dah swimming pool tu dirasmikan, kan? Hehehe! Tapi tak per...her eyes for details have made the new place really, really nice :)

Alahai...Sungguh ku terharu - siap made sure specs boleh accommodate MT dan suku-sakat we all sekali? I say, rumah baru we all nanti pun akan take that into consideration. But, by minimizing the reno work and keeping the compound luas so that tetiap kali sleepover, kita boleh camping under the stars...Buleh?! Hahaha! (The kids would love that, I'm sure :))

And I'm amazed too, with our ability to talk non-stop sampai subuh. But, I'm MORE amazed that after being married to us for all these years, you all the hubbies have NOT picked up the same skills, too! Hehehe.... Rugi...rugi..

Thank you for the do'a. Amin. Insya Allah.:)

Insya Allah, we'll be checking in again this Saturday. See you all :)

* I tak sempat la makan Nasi Lemak bungkus hari tu, coz' rambang mata - tak tau nak makan yang mana satu... (Hint, hint ;))

wanshana said...

Kmar,

Yes, the house is really nice :) And the food - seperti biasa - memang sedaaap :)

The pool was a great hit with the kids, of course.

Nak jadi macam Phelps?! Errrr...NOT after the ma*ij*ana scandal! But, yeah - a good training ground for the kids if they want to represent Malaysia in "Water-fight", "Big Splash", and "Jaws Impersonator" events...Hehehe!

Salams Lana :)

Yes, I was in B1-13 from 82-85! Which batch were you from, ya? Good to see you here!

If Form 1, 2 and 3 when I was in Form 5, I remember Ina Yazid (Zahid?), Yati, June, Zue, Nieza, Liza, Za. So, which one are you? :)

My apologies if your name has escaped me - akak dah tuo... ;)

And oh ya...How could I have missed out - Ana Jabar (my friend Khalil's sister)

Are you Khalil's lil' sis? ;)

Morning Shana,

Just woke up from another "selamba party" at Saujana Impian. I must be dreaming to be hoping you would have updated last night's event at this wee hour ( errr....9 am ish... still wee kan? LOL!!!!) Sure you all tgh syiok berdengkor lagi tuh....

Just need to correct a bit Mr Engineer's observation on our uncanny ability to talk till Subuh, actually it is both talking & listening ability tau..... That's how it could very often last till Subuh. We took turns to talk then listen, listen-talk, talk-listen - EFFORTLESSLY, I tell you!!!!! When everyone seem to be talking at the same time, there'll always be someone (x kira sapa), hey y'all! listen, listen, listen...I have something to tell, and she'll talk, and we all continue to listen, talk-listen, listen-talk on and on and on.... A perfect case study and example to be used in any "EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION" training workshop. HAHAHAHA...

But eh, good what?!!! Followed by Subuh prayer terus? hehehe....

Ibu daaa....

Emy,

Oh ya - Shima, NOT Ana :) Thanks! I say, grey cells dah kurang...

Seronok sekali sekala golek-golek kat tengah rumah orang, kan? But, of course - jangan dibuat when the man of the house is around! ;)

wanshana said...

Dear Lana,

So sorry!!! But, your name does ring a bell (a LOUD one, too! Hehehe!)

But, is that you in the gambar with Aisya? Somehow, you don't really resemble the Hanie that I remember secara samar-samar ni. And somehow I have the image of a girl who looked so much like Aisya back then! Am I right? Aisya does look a lot like you did dulu, kan? (Or maybe, I'm wrong...Sigh...)

But, I think I now remember a Hanie yang kecik molek and very petite and kurus, and very talkative. You, kan? You were either a runner, or was it you who joined the band?

Help me...help me to remember, please!

wanshana said...

Lana,

There was a Yuhanis (or was it Yuhani?!)

NOW I REMEMBER!!!

Yeay!!!
