Another new year, another year less...

On this New Year's eve, in saying farewell to 2008, and hello to 2009, I have a lot to be thankful for.

Syukur alhamdulillah, 2008 has been a good year for me, Ayah, the kids and our loved ones, and we make do'a that 2009 will bring with it more love, joy, rezqi, wisdom, success, and more importantly - good health for us to enjoy all that Allah SWT has bestowed upon us, insya Allah. And we make do'a that we'll be able to give more to others, too, insya Allah.

I have made so many new friends in the last one year through this humble blog of mine, and I have also found some long-lost friends, too. And for that, I am so grateful.

So, on this eve of 2009, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you abundance of good things in life, love, joy, laughters, wisdom, success, health and semoga dipanjangkan umur dan dimurahkan rezqi, insya Allah.

And as we leave 2008, I would like to leave all of you with this little conversation that I had with Hasya and Hilman today, and something for all of us to ponder upon -

Hilman : Mommy, why do cats eat mice?

Me : Hmmmm, I dunno. I've never thought about it, Hilman. Why do you ask?

Hilman : I dunno, I'm just curious.

Me : I guess, it's like, why do WE eat chicken, vegetables, and fish, etc.? Because we just do? Hmmmm, I really don't have any other explanation to that, Hilman.

Hasya : Errr, Mommy, do you think, MAYBE it's because mice taste like fish? MAYBE?

Me : ???!

(You don't know where this is going, do you? And I am not making any sense here, am I? Oh well, what the heck? Hehehe...))

Guys, what I'm trying to convey here is that - this new year, whenever you cannot find any answers to any questions, or when it feels like you're walking straight onto a solid wall, or when you're stuck with stuff, and when you feel nobody could help you explain the things that need explanation, and ALL THAT are pulling you down, be it at work, or otherwise, just spend MORE time with the kids.

They might provide you with the answers that you're looking for. Be it logical, or illogical ones.

But,hey, even if their answers are illogical, they will surely bring smiles to our lives throughout the new year, non? :)

And just think. Another new year would mean that we have one less year to spend with our kids, with our loved ones. Just think about it.

Just try to spend more time with your loved ones this New Year :)

And I'm sure, 2009 will be one of the best years in your life, insya Allah :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Y'ALL...

Wassalam.

Happy New Year 2009 !!

I read Star Online last week where an ahli nujum mentioned that we have to be more cautious next year, kena ikat perut sikit, invest bebetul...hmm..tapi kan kuasa Tuhan sapa tau kan?

So here's wishing you a prosperous new year, semuga apa yang di kehendaki akan tercapai. Cheers.

Kak Yatt @ Tireless Mom,

Thank you, and I hope 2009 will bring better things for you and your family, too. Insya Allah.

Yes 2008 has been a good year. Not perfect, but we all bersyukur with what had been bestowed upon us. We've taken the downsiders as blessings in disguise which has made us lebih redha, and with that - better persons :)

Happy Holidays!

Dear Anonymous @ 4:18a.m,

Thank you for your kind words, and the well wishes :)

It's true, kan? We can never get everything that we want in life, and bila kita bersyukur with whatever we have, big or small, we'll be happy, insya Allah. And getting what we want would be a bonus :)

Growing up in a not so well-to-do family, makes me appreciate every single thing bestowed upon me and the family more - big or small, hardship or success. And with that in mind, I'm happy :)

Here's wishing you and your family the Happiest New Year, too. May 2009 bring with it love, joy, laughters, wisdom, good health and all good things in life :)

Eta,

Thank you for the well wishes!

The kids are still asleep now - macam berparty all night long lah pulak! And Hanna still dedar. Thank you for your concern, dear :)

It's okay if tak sempat lalu lalang kat sini. Saya banyak faham - with Baby Mikhael around, mana nak terkejar segala blogging and bloghopping, kan? Hehehe! Anyway, no worries, coz' I selalu lalu lalang kat sinun ;)

And I'm glad my ramblings managed to cheer you up at times, even though I rasa you ni selalu happy and ceria and never need any cheering up pun! Hehehe...

Errrr, Eta - tikus kat rumah you tak berperasa ikan, kot?! Sebab tu kucing tu tak layan pun...Hahaha!

Here's wishing you the Happiest New Year, especially with the cute little bundle of joy - the new addition to the family. More love, joy, rezqi, success, wisdom. And the best of health to enjoy them. all.

Take care, dear ;)

Salam Maal Hijrah & Happy New Year fren.

By the way, re the cat & mice, I think most cats that catch mice don't eat them. Cats being cats, they are quick to pounce on anything that scurries away - be it lizard, cockroach or mice. It's like a play thing to them. Not a primary food. I think la....

Sebab tu if you buy cat food - you'll see seafood, shrimp, chicken, beef & tuna flavour.BUT NEVER "Mice Flavour" !!!!

I have 11 cats currently living with us, roaming free in the garden & backyard of no 12. hehehe...

wanshana said...

IBU!!

Salam Ma'al Hijrah and a Happy 2009, to you, too :)

Your cats tu semua Kucing Vogue kot, Ibu? Sama macam kucing Kak Ezza and Eta? Ke they all semua control macho and control chun whenever you're around. Belakang you, habis dioghang wallop. Ekor pun tak tinggal, kot?!

And of course, again - maybe because the mice kat Rawang nun tak ade perisa ikan, kot? And that answers the next thing - there isn't any cat food berperisa tikus, because maybe tikus taste just like fish? So, it comes under those berperisa tuna? seafood? and all yang sewaktu dengannya?!

(Hmmmm...I don't really know why we're wasting this first day of 2009 discussing benda-benda tak berfaedah nih? HAHAHAHA!)

Anyway, fren...I tak boleh tutup Buku Tiga Lima 2008 you dengan I lagi ni coz' banyak lagi hutang tags you tak langsai lagi. Baik bayar cecepat sebelum kadar faedah goes up, okay kawan? ;)

Here's wishing you, Sa*a, and the boys the best things in life for the year 2009, especially the best of health to enjoy the good life.

Thank you for your friendship all these years, and I make do'a that this new year our friendship will be stregthened many, manyfolds, and that it will go on...and on... (macam lagu Titanic lah pulak...)

New Year Cheers, my fren ;)

Dear myheartbleeds,

Thank you for your kind words.

And I'm glad that you've enjoyed reading my blog just as much as I've enjoyed rambling in it! ;)

Your blog has been one of my must-reads, too. YOU are very inspirational, and simply amazing. Your strength and your positive attitude towards life never fail to amaze and humble me.

In a way, maybe we share the same way on how we look at life. For me, I know that everybody tidak akan terlepas from having problems. Big or small. And whenever I'm down or bogged with problems, I ALWAYS tell myself that there are other people out there with more serious, more pressing, and bigger problems than mine. And it is NOT the end of the world.

The same with rezqi - whatever Allah SWT bestowed upon us, however small it is, kita bersyukur, because there are so many people out there who are struggling to even survive the day.

Dengan perasaan redha and bersyukur with our lives, however simple it may be, insya Allah kita akan happy, kan?

And if we make other people happy, in whatever way kita termampu, insya Allah, kita pun will be happy.

The more we give, the more we receive. But, never expect repayments in any forms. That way, hati akan tenang because we don't have any expectations, insya Allah.

Whatever goes around, comes around - be it bad or good things.

I am a firm believer of ALL of the above :)

Oooopsss! Meleret-leret lah pulak I ni... Macam ustazah Akademi Pengajian Islam lah pulak... Hahaha!

But, yeah - those are my principles :)

Cuti lagi dua hari, kan? Have fun with the girls. All the best with your new year's resolution to spend more time with the girls. It shouldn't be too hard to achieve, we know. We all can see just how much they mean to you, and you to them ;)

Take care, dear.

Dear Bella,

Thank you :) and Happiest New Year to you, too! Hope 2009 brings with it better and greater things to you and Mr Beau (?! Hehehe!), and semoga all do'as dimakbulkan. More importantly - the best of health to enjoy it all.

Yes, this year's celebration ada sikit "suam" everywhere, I think? Or, maybe, you're right - maybe it's because of our age? Hehehe!

Hope your brother's engagement dah sempurna without any glitches or hitches. I can just imagine how exhausted you and your family must be preparing everything. So, when's the BIG DAY?

And, another thing, hope 2009 also brings with it a brand new blog from you? We're still waiting, okay? Hahaha!

Take care, dear.

Happy New Year to you and family. I tak sedar pun bila new year dtg- terpengsan tidor.

But we had a great time yesterday spent time with kids all day long sampai tengahmalam!

Dear MA,

Happiest New Year to you and your brood, too. May this new year bring all the best things in life and the best of health for you and your loved ones, insya Allah.

Our new year was pretty quiet - spent the whole day at home. Like you, sampai midnight terperap with each other. I actually fell asleep on the girls' bed while having a chat with them, and only woke up at 1:30a.m when Hasya kejutkan and said, "Mommy, we want to sleep now, and you're taking all the space!" Hahaha.. tu dia! Her Mommy selambak kat atas katil tu!

Quiet it may be, but, it was a lovely day to start off the new year :)

Dear Shana,
Happy New Year to you and your family! Let's pray 2009 will be a better year for all of us....

When the clock struck 12am tu memangla we were at Ikano, watching the fireworks... But yesterday (1st Jan) was spent 'doing-nothing'. Dok masak2 for the kids what they like - mee hailam and the baked puding roti w sauce. Licin... sebab the whole day was spent at home.

Rasa relax sangat.. especially bila dok berpeluk2 dgn the kids depan TV... heaven!

Let's hope that all our wishes for the new year come true, InsyaAllah :)
